21/06/2014 00:41

Yampatika's summer programs are made to provide children with the opportunity to get to know their natural surroundings in a hands-on manner and in complete safety. Every program is based on a theme and utilizes education to inculcate environmental stewardship. Every program is specific to age and is carried out by experienced professionals. Because no two weeks are similar, you'll be able to enter your kids for all the sessions or even only for the team that interests them most. Themes include the likes of Mini Mad Scientists & Citizen Scientists and The Forest For The Trees.

All the programs are conducted on Yampatika's Environmental Learning Center at Legacy Ranch and the 132 acres including pastures and wetlands offer many opportunities for exploration. The Environmental Learning Center is found on the intersection of Highway 40 and 131 just outside the city limits. Sizes are limited to 12 children and supervised by a couple of adults to create a ratio of one adult for every six kids. New introductions for this year include daily drop-in camps for you to see whether your six year old is ready for a full week at camp. Camp hours have also been extended and now last from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

The Recreation Department supplies a choice of youth camps which can be enjoyable and lots of fun and the activities of every camp are designed to be challenging for that specific age bracket. On day trips, the staff focuses on the skills required to enjoy in complete safety outdoor activities set in the Rocky Mountains. The Adventure Bound in Steamboat Springs programs is a distinctive program catering to the special needs of children. However, you need to communicate all of these special needs ahead of time to make sure that proper programming and staffing may be arranged. Summer camp runs from June 16th to August 15th and there are three distinct camps for different age groups. https://www.realestate.com

Should your children be musically inclined, check out the Rocky Mountain Summer Conservatory. Set among the beautiful mountains, it is a modest camp for kids who play stringed instruments including the violin and cello. The program is built to nurture the whole person body and spirit and involves physical fitness and also outdoor activities. The governing concept is the musician as an athlete as well. The teaching employees are committed to education about chamber music for the musicians and, by means of regular concerts, the listening public too. In addition to the United States, individuals come from all over the world, such as, China and Germany.
